The Clem&Léon bag is a carrying aid system. It is not a “baby carrier” as mentioned in the European Decree n°91-1292 from the 20th of December 1991, related to baby products. So since it is not considered as a baby carrier, the parent must always be in contact with the child and ensure the child’s security by firmly holding him, hand in the child’s back. This carrying aid bag is easy to use and perfectly secured with its “loop system” along with the high resistant buckles and seams (can resist to more than hundreds of kilos).
The bag is designed for babies not younger than 10 (ten) months, -the baby must be able to stand and sit by himself- and up to 15kg (around 3 years old). The child is seated on top of the bag, astride, with the legs opened, one leg on each side of the adult’s hip. The knees must be higher than his hips (as if naturally carried on the hip). The legs must not hang! The ergonomic strap must be open on the top of the shoulder, in order to better spread the load and free the neck. The bag must be at hip’s height, it can be adjusted thanks to the adjustable straps. This new lateral carrying system perfectly fits the child’s physiology, that is why it is important to well respect the child position. The child is simply seated on his parent’s hip, supported by the bag.
Please, read carefully the instructions and respect them, otherwise, your child’s security may be affected.
